The Dugoy Festival in Sablayan is a vibrant, colorful, and culturally rich celebration that showcases the unity, traditions, and indigenous heritage of the Mangyan people.
‘Sablayan’ was derived from the word ‘sablay’, a Visayan term meaning wave convergence. In the early times, the very location of the town was where the waves from the North and South China Sea meet, hence the name ‘sablay’ which later became Sablayan.

Tangible immovables are places and structures that cannot be moved—buildings, monuments, sites, and similar—which embody cultural, historical, or architectural significance.
Ang bahay na ito ay gawa sa pebbles o maliliit na bato, bubog o crystal glass, at puting semento, ito ay may apat na kwarto. Ang bahagi ng bahay gaya ng dingding ay gawa sa crystal glass at ang bahaging upuan at sahig ay yari sa pebbles o maliliit na mga bato. Ang bahaging likod ng bahay ay gawa sa semento. May ikalawang palapag ang bahay at ang hagdan nito ay yari sa narra. Mapapansin na kakaiba ang bahay na ito, na kung saan kahit 50 taon na ang lumipas hindi pa rin nagpapahuli sa mga modernong bahay sa kasalukuyan, tuloy pa rin nito ang kaibahan at katibayan.

Ito ay isinasagawa o ipinagdiriwang taon-taon tuwing Enero. Ang parada nito ay nagsisimula sa sentro ng Sablayan tungo sa mismong pagdadausan ng kompetisyon. Ang pagtatanghal ay isinasagawa sa palaruang hugnayan (Sports Complex) sa Barangay Sto. Niño Sablayan Occidental Mindoro.
